Termination of Pregnancy

Termination of pregnancy is fully legal in Singapore, but only during the first 24 weeks of gestation. This is only applicable to Singapore citizens, wives of Singapore citizens, and women who have resided in Singapore for a minimum duration of four months in public hospitals.

In this process, counselling by a qualified counsellor at an accredited clinic is required. A mandatory waiting period of 48 hours will also follow before one can proceed with the procedure.
